Tibi x Anita Ko

Well guess who is teaming up... luxury fashion meets luxury jewelry; how fitting. I am obsessed with this ear cuff; its subtle and dainty (for an ear cuff) just it is so edgy, cool and the necessary accessory for a fab trendy girl. Too bad its $2,640 - talk about ultimate splurge. I am already saving to splurge on their new summer collection, so I might just have to sit this one out.

Want the Tibi without the diamonds? Not saying it won't cost ya; here are my picks this season:

Velocity Denim Dress

Eye Spy Cut Out Dress

Emme Halter Dress

He's still got it

Posing for Esquire magazine, Leonardo DiCaprio is still the charming piece of eye candy that I once fell in love with after his breath taking role as Jack in the Titanic. I am beyond excited to see his performance as Jay Gatsby in the long awaited  Luhrmann's adaption of The Great Gatsby. Step aside Robert Redford, there's a new Gatsby in town, 40 years later I may I add; its about time!

DIY Wall Art

I was looking at West Elm today when I noticed this little get up they have going, going for 80$ a piece. I mean this is awesome decor, but way over priced. Which got me thinking.... Isn't just a wonderful DIY project waiting to happen? Who has an old patterned clothing garb that they are ready to recycle?  I mean all you do is buy four frames and attach the fabric to the back, so that the white framing part that it came with is still visible. And if the white framing part did not come with the frame, you can always but it from Michaels!

I think I might just have to try it this weekend!

B.I.K.I.N.I.

I am obsessed with bikinis, but not your average bikini; your tiny micro bikini that is not appropriate for your country club's pool, and more appropriate for exotic beaches Miami.  If you are like me and like those small cheeky bottoms and little triangle tops that do not tolerate any funny business tan lines, then you will like my choices for this spring! If not, then just enjoy the tranquil and beautiful pictures of women loving the beach in their amazing bikinis!

Acacia is by far my favorite swimwear brand this year; their colors and patterns are bold and beautiful and the styles are beyond sexy and perfect for the beach! They make exactly what I love to wear in a bikini.

Santorini Top

Maui Bottom

Montauk Top

Rio Bottom

Lumahai Top

Kauai Bottom

Tori Praver Swimwear is another label that I have been obsessed with this spring. I love everything about their designs: super feminine and tiny tiny!

Cabazon

Sage

Sage Top & Kalani Bottom

Mara Hoffman
I am going to give Mara Hoffman a rest on this article because her bathing suits are noted on every one's fashion websites. And to be honest, I don't think her bottoms are small enough for my booty! But I love her new video on her home page that shows her swimwear collection for the spring. One of the frames from the movie is this post's cover pic.

OndadeMar's Spring/Summer collection, "Wanderlust" is coming soon so stay posted for an update about their new collection! Lucky me, I will be making a stop at their beautiful boutique on Miami Beach!

Spring into Rose Gold Accessories

Accessories; belts, bags, jewelry and awesome shoes. Basically anything to make your outfit channel exactly how you feel: fabulous, sophisticated, trendy, etc. My favorite metal, rose gold, has been making an appearance into all accessories this season and I am in love. Rose gold is great; its pink and beautiful and oh so feminine. It looks great on most skin tones and everyone can incorporate some kind of rose gold into their wardrobe. Rose gold is this spring's "it" accessory, so put on your rose colored lenses and embrace the rose gold!
Here are my favorite rose gold accessories for the spring!

Marc by Marc Jacobs
Henry Dinky Watch
Marc by MJ carries a lot of rose gold jewelry and I am in love with all of it so I had to limit my picks to my two favorites before I fly off the handle bars and write an entire article about all of his accessories! Check out Nordstrom for the endless supply of rose gold (and other metals) MJ jewelry.

I love this watch; its small and perfect for adding more bracelets to layer!

Paste and Prints Tiny Crystal Bracelet

The White Dress: I want it, I need it

Its not spring break in Miami (or any warm destination) with out the white dress. A dress perfect to complement your new tan as well as your new shoes, because well its white, and white will go with just about everything. The white dress has to be perfect fit; it has to be the most flattering dress of your wardrobe which is what makes the "white dress" so special. Therefore, everyone's white dress is different, making all more the great and eclectic gathering of white dresses, at least on this website.

Spring is approaching: what the hell am I wearing?

I am in denial with this crazy Colorado weather; one day its sunny and 60 degrees while I prance around in jeans and slip ons, and then the following day is pouring snow and I helplessly watch my dreams of the spring time weather stalling from my balcony with a steaming coffee and furry slippers keeping my feet warm. Regardless of this weather in Boulder, I am ready for the spring and ready for all of the amazing fashion that its bringing. One of my favorite shopping seasons yet; I am completely overwhelmed with the amazing clothes I keep finding, it just hasn't stopped. Wells Fargo is not thanking me for my negative balance on my Visa right now. But hey, whatever a girls gotta be fashionable.

So here's my next section of my blog: I will be posting articles of many categories, all things being amazing and trend setting for the spring; a lot including what I have purchased in this past week and what is in my shopping cart waiting for my next installment of $$.

I hope this section of articles is insightful when selecting your new spring wardrobe, but mostly inspirational to keep you shopping!

Miami, here I come! Well, okay, fine not for a few more days; but let me tell you I am so ready for the warm weather but, even more excited to wear my new spring wardrobe!

Nude booties

Baha, what a great title for this post... a nude booty, like we all don't have those?! Well I guess I am talking about another nude booty, the ones we don't have yet (but love to get) I am all about the nude booties this spring, its hard to not be into them anyways, because so many amazing nude booties are coming our way! I like to pair nude booties with distressed and faded jeans or jean shorts, like many, because it gives this carefree, somewhat retro, vibe and it looks effortless. But I am also beginning to love to pair nude booties with florals. Florals are big this season, especially dresses. Gosh florals and booties, even more retro-flower child! Just don't put a flower in your hair; shit; I cannot believe I just did a play on words with the Scott McKenzie song. But really there was truth to that... no flower crowns.. I don't care what NastyGal says; its tacky and over embraced (which it shouldn't be in my opinion) Really though, stay away from the flower crowns; no exceptions Coachella goers, no exceptions.

Sorry about that, but it was necessary; sometimes I just need to let my readers know that putting a crown of fake flowers on your head is not fab--unless you are in Godspell. Anyways,  I'd like to see everyone try their nude booties with a pretty floral sun dress, let their hair run wild; and just be free this spring and embrace great weather, and beautiful fashion!

Here are my favorite nude booties (so far)

The Retro Sunglasses

Retro is back, as noted in my pervious post about Tory Burch's new SS collection. It seems as though many designers and fashionistas are jumping on the Retro band wagon and finding their favorite retro picks for the season. You don't need to go all out with this retro trend though, I am finding the easiest and most subtle way to embrace this trend is through sunglasses. They are easy, inexpensive and it won't look like you just teleported yourself off of the Brady Bunch, or Charlie's Angels set. Retro sunglasses bring this carefree and fun vibe to your outfit with out trying to hard, and they still seem to work with every outfit as regular sunglasses do anyways. I mean lets be honest here, we all have a pair of wayfayers they are so retro. So it is time to cast the wayfarers aside and step out of your comfort level and find the latest and greatest retro glasses. I am loving the colorful ones; they look great with bikinis! Here are my picks to embrace the retro sunglasses trend!

Quay Retro Sunglasses (found at Nordstrom)

Halogen Retro 52mm Sunglasses (found at Nordstrom)

Toms 'Modern' Retro 55mm Sunglasses

(The ultimate splurge but I am obsessed; Mary Kate and Ashley know their fashion!)
